UNISA Modules Cancellation

You may make any of the following changes to your registration by logging on to myUnisa and following the registration prompts:.

The University of South Africa-UNISA Modules or Qualification Changing Portal is accessible from any location with an internet connection using a desktop computer, a laptop, a notebook, a tablet, or even a smartphone.

Adding a module at UNISA

To add modules after registration has been activated for the academic year, you must apply online and then pay the necessary fee to the university by the relevant closing date for registration. Please note that requests to add modules received via e-mail or after the closing date for the relevant registration period will not be accepted as official requests for additions.

If you are already registered and would like to add additional modules, log in to myUnisa, choose the myAdmin link, click on “Student Admin,” and then on “Register Additional Modules.”.

How do I cancel a module or qualification at UNISA?

To cancel modules, login to myUnisa. Choose the myadmin link, click on “Student Admin,” and then on “Cancel Modules.”. You will, however, forfeit the applicable portion of the fees paid (related to the date of cancellation). Please look at the “exclusion from studies” paragraph in the Student Rules before canceling modules.

Should you wish to cancel your registration within 10 calendar days of your registration being activated, you may apply for a full refund in line with Unisa’s cooling-off period. To apply for a possible refund complete the relevant refund form and submit to finan@unisa.ac.za after the cancellation has been processed.

To cancel a module(s), subject(s), or qualification(s) at the University of South Africa (UNISA), be it yearly, quarterly, or in semesters, follow the guidelines below:

Step 1

Get the Change of Qualification’s Application Form

Step 2

Gather your documents or upload further or outstanding documents

Step 3

Fill out the application form (Your name, surname, and identity number or passport number must be filled in exactly as they are written in your identity document or passport.) Also, state the reasons why you want to terminate your studies.

Step 4

Complete the application form and submit it to your respective faculty office.

Step 5

Pay the payable fee

Note: A student who has already left the university must send the notice by registered post to the registrar’s office, Oral cancellations or cancellations received by fax/telephone/email will not be accepted.

UNISA Change of Subject Deadline

The final date on which registration for a module may be canceled without having to pay for the specific module is specified in the table “Discontinuation dates” see-through.
