University of Cape Town -UCT Fees Payment Method For Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Certificate students.
For your convenience, we provide a variety of different payment methods.
University of Cape Town Tuition Fees Payment Method 2025
Various payment methods are available. The student name and number should be very clearly stated to ensure the correct fees account is credited.
A copy of the deposit slip should be faxed to the Fees Office, where relevant
Fees may be paid using the following methods:
- Debit cards
- Credit cards
- Bank deposit
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
- Debit Cards
Debit card
Debit card payments for student fees are accepted, but can only be made at the Cashiers Office by the card holder, as the card holder must enter their PIN when authorising the transaction.
Credit Cards
Credit Cards are restricted to ‘Visa’ and ‘MasterCard’. All the requirements under ‘Particulars of payment’ on the registration form, must be supplied. The cardholder’s signature is also required on the registration form.
Direct Deposit
Deposits may be made into the university’s bank account. The university’s banking details are:

Your name and student number must be quoted when using this method of payment.

Telegraphic Transfer (for SADC Students)
Where payment is being made for Southern African Development Community (SADC) students from outside the Rand currency area, payment must be made by electronic transfer of funds into the university’s bank account.

Allow a minimum of 14 working days for these SADC payments to reach the UCT bank account.
UCT Fees Payment Method For International Students (Non SADC)
Where payment is being made for students from outside the Rand currency area, payment must be made by electronic transfer of funds into the university’s bank account.

Allow a minimum of 14 working days for these international payments to reach the UCT bank account.
Notes: UCT will never ask you for any personal information such as passwords, usernames, credit card details, or PIN codes. Use your ID number as a reference. Make sure that you have read and understood the registration and application terms and conditions.
University of Cape Town -UCT reserves the right not to render services to students with outstanding balances.
Receipts and statements of accounts will be issued to registered students only. It remains the student’s responsibility to submit the document to the relevant sponsor.
