Currently we are searching for a Procurement officer for Durban, South Africa.
Responsibilities of this Post:
- Assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and / or contractors to promote good procurement practice with regard to ethical purchasing standards.
- Work with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
- Responsible to order placement timing, supply / demand alignment, material replenishment and supplier performance.
- Control and monitor expenses against approved budgets.
- Payment terms negotiation, optimization and management.
- Review inventory and update as required.
- Initiate and keep track of orders placed. Receive, inspect and distribute orders and reconcile received stock to orders placed. Investigate and resolve any order discrepancies.
- Keeping of records and ensuring accounts are timeously submitted to Finance Department for payment.
Requirements of this Post:
- Grade 12.
- Three years experience as a Procurement Officer or similar role.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
