Application for a student loan will require one to upload the following;
- A copy of admission letter from any of the participating HEI
- A copy of the National ID
- Copies of academic certificates or result slips and transcripts
- A copy of a birth certificate
- A copy of the recent passport photo
- Proof of payment of the prescribed processing fees
- A copy of the Financial card (Not mandatory at the point of application)
- A sketch map of applicant’s current address/residence
- A sketch map of applicant’s home of origin (if different from current address)
- Fully filled loan application form submitted online.
Note: Applicants will receive a notification upon successfully submitting the application details through email.
Before you proceed to download the application form, make sure you have all the documents mentioned above on standby for downloads.
HESFB Student Loan Application Procedure
Step 1.
Secure an Admission: Secure an Admission for any eligible course in an Eligible Higher Education Institution
Step 2.
Register into ILMIS: Register into the Integrated Loan Management Information System (ILMIS) by creating an account using your e-mail and a unique password
Step 3.
Log into ILMIS: Use your e-mail and password to log into ILMIS to access the Online Loan Application Form (LAF)
Step 4.
Complete Loan Application Form: Complete all the sections of the Online Loan Application Form and attach all the relevant documents. The system allows you to save and proceed with the Application letter.
Step 5.
Payment & Submission: Confirm that you have fully completed all sections and submit an online application with a copy of the Loan Processing payment receipt
Step 6.
Submit your Application and wait patiently as your application is being processed. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from the Board when your application form is received.
