About St. Eliza School of Nursing and Midwifery
The St. Eliza School of Nursing and Midwifery Protectorate Government started Masaka School Of Comprehensive Nursing in 1946 as a training institution for ex—service men that had served in World War II to offer them medical skills. Initially the school was part of Masaka Hospital until in 1998 when it was transferred to the Ministry of Education and Sports. The core mandate of the School is to train a nurses who upon graduation, can be able to provide comprehensive nursing services to communities, homes, schools, industries, hospitals and other institutions.
The vision of St. Eliza School of Nursing and Midwifery is to be an internationally reputable nursing training institution. The mission of St. Eliza School of Nursing and Midwifery is to produce a competent and committed comprehensive nurse.
