- Candidate must be a South African citizen
- Candidate must hold a valid South African ID document
- Candidates must hold a Grade 12 level of education with an average of 70%
- Students must have a 70% average for HG-English
- Candidates must have a 70% average for HG Physical Science or Core Mathematics
- Applicants must be registered or studying at an Institute of Higher Learning within South Africa
- Candidates will be required to hold an average of 65% for each academic year of the bursary duration
