The University of Dar es Salaam is the oldest and biggest public university in Tanzania. It is situated on the western side of the city of Dar es Salaam, occupying 1,625 acres on the observation hill, 13 kilometers from the city centre. It was established on 1st July 1970, through parliament act no. 12 of 1970 and all the enabling legal instruments of the constituent colleges.

The University of Dar es Salaam-UDSM Online Application System -OAS is the UDSM Portal in which All requisite information and guidelines to assist in the application stages of candidates Applying to study in the Institution are to Obey for a Successful Application Irrespective of your Choice of Study And Programmes.

To use the Online Application System you will need internet access, as well as an email address that you can access regularly because as soon as you submit your online application, a confirmation mail will be sent to your email address. Successful applicants will be notified within three weeks after the closing dates of the Applications.
