UNISA Module Cancellation Deadline.
A student who voluntarily cancels his or her registration for a module will forfeit either a part of or the entire study fees paid, as indicated below.
If you wish to cancel your registration, you must do so by the following dates:

Last date for cancellation of semester 1 modules | 31 March 2024 | Regardless of when you cancel a semester 1 module, you will forfeit the minimum payment. The full payment was forfeited after this date. |
Last date for cancellation of semester 2 modules | 31 August 2024 | Regardless of when you cancel a semester 2 module, you will forfeit the minimum payment. The full payment was forfeited after this date. |
Year module (second payment) |
15 May 2024 | If you cancel a module before this date, you will forfeit the minimum payment. If you cancel a module after this date, you will forfeit the minimum payment and the second payment. You remain liable to pay the minimum and second payments. |
Year modules (final payment) |
31 August 2024 | If you cancel a module before this date, you will forfeit the minimum and second payments. The full payment was forfeited after this date. You remain liable to pay the full outstanding fees. |
How to Cancel UNISA Modules
To add modules after registration has been activated for the academic year, you must apply online and then pay the necessary fee to the university by the relevant closing date for registration. Please note that requests to add modules received via e-mail or after the closing date for the relevant registration period will not be accepted as official requests for additions.
If you are already registered and would like to add additional modules, login to myUnisa, choose the myAdmin link, click on “Student Admin,” and then on “Register Additional Modules.”.
Below are the steps on how to cancel modules at the University of South Africa.
STEP 1:
To cancel modules, log in to myUnisa.
STEP 2:
Choose the myAdmin link, click on “Student Admin,” and then on “Cancel Modules.”.
STEP 3:
You will, however, forfeit the applicable portion of the fees paid (related to the date of cancellation).
STEP 4:
Please look at the “exclusion from studies” paragraph in the Student Rules before canceling modules.
NOTE:
Should you wish to cancel your registration within 10 calendar days of your registration being activated, you may apply for a full refund in line with Unisa’s cooling-off period.
To apply for a possible refund, complete the relevant refund form and submit it to finan@unisa.ac.za after the cancellation has been processed.
Changing your address and/or telephone number
Submit all requests to change telephone numbers and/or postal, physical, or courier addresses via myUnisa. All addresses are mandatory. No registrations will be processed without address details.
