UNISA Online Registration 2024: Guidelines.
The University of South Africa (UNISA) has released the enrollment plan and registration dates for online registrations for the 2023–2024 academic year. and also how to register. We have published all the information below.
University of South Africa-UNISA Registration Dates 2023
UNISA has opened its online registrations for 2023–2024 studies. Be sure to secure your spot and register as soon as possible.
The institution has taken the leap due to COVID-19 and moved their registrations strictly online. Due to the rise in infections and the second wave, this is a good move for UNISA and other universities to make.

UNISA Registration Fee
National student registration fee: R2 200.00
International Students registration fee: Total annual tuition fees (100%)
National Residence student registration fee: R2 200.00
International Residence registration fee: Total annual fees (100%)
Payment can be made via the banking details at least 24 hours before starting the registration process.
Confirmed NSFAS-funded students and other sponsored students may not be required to pay the registration fee.
Important notice regarding payments: When you make any payment to Unisa, use your 8-digit student number, then a space, and then your allocation as a reference number (e.g., 12345678 or 5400374721) to avoid delays in the allocation of your payment and your application or registration.
UNISA Registration Process
Note this: registration is strictly online.
Below are guidelines on how to begin your registration at UNISA.
Step 1.
Check if your institution has the I-enabler (If ‘yes’, Click on the i-enabler link to begin your registration; if ‘no’, start from step 2)
Step 2.
Go to the University of South Africa-UNISA Registration Portal Via the link below
Step 3.
Insert your student number and 5-digit pin
Step 4.
Click on Login
Step 5.
Navigate to Academic Registration
Step 6.
Click on the Academic Admission Status to ensure that you have an admitted admission status
for the qualification you are registering for. Check also your application decision
Step 7.
Click on Registration Restrictions.
- Ensure you do not have any restrictions, such as financial, academic, or international.
- If you do have a restriction, your registration will not go through.
Step 8.
Click on the Rules and Regulations. Your document will be downloaded. Kindly read carefully and
click accept. Once you have accepted the rules and regulations agreement, follow the instructions afterward.
Step 9. (Final Step)
View, print, or save your proof of registration.

Note: Students will only be allowed to come to the offices if they have serious registration issues. They will then need to complete a COVID-19 health check on the COVID-19 health check app before visiting the offices.
Returning students will be required to use the booking app to book an appointment before visiting a UNISA office.
After UNISA registration, what’s next?
After your registration, it may take a little time before you receive confirmation of your registration. While you’re waiting, it’s a good idea to start preparing for your studies.
Once you’ve received confirmation of your registration, you need to register on myUnisa, the university’s online student portal, where you can download your study material, including your tutorial letters.
Please note: All communication sent to you after the initial study package (except study guides) will be sent electronically to your myLife e-mail account (e.g., follow-up tutorial letters, examination timetables and results, financial statements). You will no longer receive such communication in printed format.
