CSIR Job Vacancies Details
The CSIR has two vacancies for Buying Administrators in the Strategic Procurement Unit. The incumbent will process requisitions into purchase orders as well as all order related functions.The positions are based in Pretoria
Key responsibilities:
- Process orders from requisition pool on a daily basis including;
- On-line ordering
- E-procurement system ordering
- Purchasing cards eg Makro
- Administration of orders on the e-procurement system;
- Administration of all order related queries in e-procurement system, including:
- Return of requisitions
- Cancellation of orders
- Closure of orders
- Changing of orders
- Expedite orders placed on-line, to ensure timely delivery and excellent service;
- Effective and efficient response to all queries within the specified time frame and to the satisfaction of all clients;
- Obtain quotes for less than R30 000 and assist with e-procurement testing during upgrade or changes of the system.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- A three year National Diploma or Degree in Purchasing and supply chain management with at least one year experience
- In-house training is mandatory;
- Computer literacy and typing skills;
- E-procurement knowledge, sourcing and buying skills;
- Knowledge of the CSIR’s procurement framework, policies and procedures;
- Ability to meet demanding deadlines; and
- Attention to detail and meticulous.
