Established in 1960, Butabika School of Psychiatric Nursing is located in Butabika Village, Nakawa Division in Kampala City.
The School is government owned nursing School specialized in Training Mental Health Nurses.
Since its inception in 1960, the school has experienced a steady growth in enrollment and courses offered.
In 1967, an Extension Course in Mental Health Nursing for already Enrolled Psychiatric Nurses was introduced to enable them upgrade to Registered Psychiatric Nurses. The School admits students on both government and private sponsorship.
