If you’re a SASSA beneficiary, then it’s important to know when you can expect to receive your grant.

Grants are paid out monthly to qualifying grant beneficiaries. The payment dates for the month of September are as follows:

  • Disability Grants – 6 September 2021

  • Foster Care Grants – 7 September 2021

  • Care Dependency Grants – 7 September 2021

  • Child Support Grants – 7 September 2021

Unlike the grants listed above, the new temporary R350 grant does not have a set payment date. However, some successful beneficiaries started receiving their payments on 25 August 2021.

SASSA said it will continue to process applications, after it reported receiving nearly 9 million applications since 6 August. Applicants who have not yet received their payments have been urged to be patient and wait to receive an SMS from SASSA informing them about the success of their application.

“Please be patient, payments are being made as we speak. SASSA CARES and we will pay all deserving applicants. SASSA apologises for all inconvenience caused.” said SASSA in a tweet.

Applicants from previous cycles of the grant who were approved but have not yet collected their payments have been urged to do so before 31 August 2021. After this date, payments for outstanding and uncollected grants will no longer be processed.
